What to include with UltimaSerial?
When you ship UltimaSerial control along with your programs to the end-user, please:
copy UltimaSerial.ocx to windows\system directory
Depending on what you use, copy Dqchart.ocx, XChart.ocx, FFT1024.ocx or UltimaWaterfall.ocx to windows\system(32) directory if you use the plotting
copy Dataqfile.ocx to windows\system directory if you generate WinDaq file
copy Ietimer.ocx to windows\system directory if you use timer to pace the acquisition in Excel.
Make sure the end-user have the latest MFC42.DLL & REGSVR32.EXE in windows\system
Register the OCXs using the following commandline:
REGSVR32.EXE <filename>.OCX /S
To find out the serial number of UltimaSerial, you can either:
1) From VisualBASIC, locate the control on your form. Select it then right-click on it, follow the drop-down menu to Properties.... You will find the serial number on the property page. Or,
2) Run KeyWriter, and it will show you the serial number (if not, please download the latest UltimaSerial).
Once you receive the Key to register UltimaSerial from email, you can enter it to KeyWriter (Case-Sensitive), then hit OK to finish the registration, which can be confirmed with method 1).
Note: The Key to register UltimaSerial is not the hardware key to enable multiple channels on the DI-194.
